Google your music

Google is a great search engine and most of us use it every day. But comparatively few know that it actually can be used to find and download music. This is indeed an old trick but it still works great.

Basically, you can just type the following into the search field:

"index of/" "linkin park" "mp3"

This will search the whole internet for directories with the specified search pattern :-). A slightly improved version of this may even improve your results:

-inurl:(htm|html|php) intitle:"index of" +"last modified" +"parent directory" +description +size +(wma|mp3) "linkin park"

Check it out! When you’ve found something, you can always download the mp3 file directly or stream it with Quicktime or iTunes.

I’d rather search something like “index of/” “blowjob” “mpeg” than linkin park

  2. As opposed to you, conquistadore, I at least try to be serious :-P.
