“Roll it!” – The first week

Since “Roll it!” made its way into the AppStore last week, the number of daily downloads keeps increasing. It’s great to see how it gains popularity. According to appfigures.com, it’s already Top 50 (44) in the category Games/Dice in the US store. The feedback is amazing and I’m really happy the app finds such an echo. In the meantime, version 1.0.1 got released, fixing a problem with the vibrate setting and correcting a word in the german localisation.

Since vimeo deleted all my gaming videos, I began to upload them again to gotgame.com and youtube. Youtube blocks some of the audio, so I’m currently trying different sites, blip.tv also seems to be an option. Let me know in the comments if you know a good site for that purpose.

“Roll it!” for iPhone released

I’m proud to announce that Roll it! (aka Yahtzee), the classic Yahtzee game for the iPhone, has finally made its way into the App Store. Enjoy!

Yahtzee 1.0 submitted!

The first release version of Yahtzee is finally done. I submitted it to Apple for their approval today. Let’s hope they process it quickly and the app will be in the App Store soon. Thanks to everyone who contributed to the development and testing.

texture-cube.pngMost people are familiar with the concept of filters, in fact unconsciously used them many times. Everytime you sharpen an image or apply a gaussian blur, every single pixel gets processed by a certain mathematical rule.

Exercise 6 – Pixel editing

According to Wikipedia, “Image editing” encompasses the processes of altering images, whether they be digital photographs, traditional analog photographs, or illustrations. In our case we alter digital photos and those consist of pixels. Learn more about how to manipulate pixels and techniques to overlay several images.
