The second part of this little series about my favorite mac applications is all about web design and development on the Mac. Programs like CSSEdit or Transmit show that there are great tools no other operating system can offer. On the other hand, people switching from Windows or Linux don’t have to abandon the use of XAMPP or Zend Studio, as they are available for Mac too.

Favicons go 3D

Windows windows on a Mac

Since Apple released their Software »Boot Camp«, it is easy to install a Microsoft Windows OS natively on a Mac. This is in fact a very nice feature especially for gamers or people that rely on specified windows programs. But for the latter there is something even better. It’s called »Parallels Desktop for Mac«, it’s beta and free to try.

Hasta la vista, Billy?

V for Vista, baby! Since Microsoft officially released »Windows Vista« to its end customers in January. It comes with a lot of sophisticated features and all seem to be totally new – at least to Windows users. Some say, that Vista is just a rip-off of Apple’s Mac OS X.
